This video was made with the hope of raising awareness about self injury and trying to combat some of the myths and stereotypes surrounding self injury. It is not intended to encourage self injury.

Visit www.cutthemovie.com Wendy Schneider's new film, currently in production, is a documentary on the too often secret topic of self-harm. It will feature interviews with teens at various stages of recovery as well as the professionals dedicated to helping them. The film will also include Garbage lead singer Shirley Manson (courtesy of Geffen Records), who shares her personal experience as a self-injury survivor.
"The Secret Cut" The secret cut is an exciting new film that is currently in the early stages of production. It is going to be an educational film/documentary about self injury (a.k.a cutting, burning and other self harming behaviors) in teens. But this isn't any ordinary "educational film"! We are hoping to educate both parents and teens on this very hard and complex subject and show that teens who self injure aren't just seeking attention. We are hoping to capture what goes on inside the mind of a self injurer and more importantly how to help them!
